2-week Programme in New York
Earlier this year Conor Ibrahiem applied to the Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship, a programme that brings together mainly Muslims and Jews through their work as Social Entrepreneurs. Upon successfully passing the interviews, Conor was invited to New York along with 22 other Fellows to take part in this ambitious initiative, which ran from July 4th to July 16th 2010. Columbia Business School hosted the event and in conjuction with the University of Cambridge, provided learning and platforms for discussion in areas such as Leadership & Change, historical understandings of the Muslim and Jewish worlds, alongside guidance on how to develop our social business plans. There were also many guest speakers, including high-profile journalists and successful entrepreneurs. Ultimatley this was the chance for the Fellows to form new friendships across the globe and find new ways of working together. There were also fun times thrown into the mix and Arakan would like to thank the Ariane de Rothschild team for creating such a unique opportunity. From here we hope to build up a new, self-sustaining network that can be a powerful force for social change.
All the Fellows graduated with a 'Columbia University Gradutate School of Business' certificate.
